Freakin' Out The Freaks

Let your Freak Flags fly, Ladies!

I can't stand the way it feels to pull a cotton ball apart.

If I'm going to eat a pickle... it's going to be with a side of popcorn.

I don't like to touch towels unless I'm sopping wet.

I stand like a flamingo when I do the dishes and my makeup.

I can't stand it when my socks brush against someone elses. No footsie with the socks on, people.

SO, go ahead... raise your freak flag.
Tell me somethin' strange!

p.s.
How gorg is this?
I need a bib to catch all this drool! Shameless plug in

Photobucket
Alrighty, I've seen it going around... you've seen it going around... I needed a filler & so it's looking like the perfect time to whip this one out!

5 things that make me feel sexy:
1. WG, of course!
2. Ergh, Margaritas? Tequila does magical things, people! Haha!
3. Cute undies! I can be completely bumming in the fashion dept., but if I've got on cute undies... I'm damn skippy!
4. Good makeup, good hair, good clothes... you know, the basics.
5. Certain music :) I'm not talking slow jams and r&b cheesiness either! haha. I think these songs are sexy...

(((I GOT SICK OF THE MUSIC AUTOMATICALLY PLAYING, SO I REMOVED THE PLAYER. IT WAS EASIER THAN CHANGING THE PLAYER SETTINGS! THE SONGS ARE:
DAVE MATTHEWS BAND- CRAZY
DAVID GRAY- THIS YEARS LOVE
MARC BROUSSARD- THE BEAUTY OF WHO YOU ARE
311- LOVE SONG)))
...Rrrrandom...

8. What was the last thing you received in the mail? A birthday card from my real Dad.
9. If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be? 1 thing? Eek. Let's be pageant generic here and say... WORLD PEACE.

Topic Hopping

I've got some random things to ramble about today. Grab your helmet and ride with me, won't you?

  • I'm at work right now. Where I sit inside the shop is about 100 feet from the busy highway. I hear cars roaring past all day. My favorite is when someone driving by has their music up really loud. They're going too fast for me to actually hear what song they're playing... so it just sounds like the spirits from that movie White Noise. ALL. DAY. LONG. I swear I turn and look at the electronics like something is about to come out of them at least twice a day. I know... awesome.

  • Why is it that all of the blogs I read that were written by men have closed themselves down? I have thought alot about this, actually. See the dumb things I spend my time thinking about? Do they just run out of steam quicker than us girls?(Maybe they run out because they don't post about fashion and goofy things?) Is it our fault(as in women, in general)? Surely the women they date have to find out about their blogs eventually, and I'm sure there comes a time when a line has to drawn about what they can talk about. I get really sad when these men disappear from my blog life. I rely on them for a male perspective. As Boy once told me, "They are telling you all of our secrets!"... I appreciated that. And, what I'm about to say may sound negative, but I mean it in the nicest way possible. These men have taught me that guys can just be jerks. IT'S NOT JUST MINE! Amen. (Don't get me wrong boys, I know women can be kind of crazy, and maybe we cancel each other out. But at least we can blame hormones!) Anyway, I miss them. Do you have any guy blogger friends you can refer to me? Haha! I feel like I'm putting a wanted add in the paper!

  • I don't feel like working. I feel like sitting here on my rump all day and reading blogs. THAT'S IT. Oh, and eating Cheetos. Barefoot. Holy crap, I'm turning into Britney Spears.

  • Shut up... Cheetos are delicious.

  • I thought about taking a blog vacation this week. Maybe next week? I need to re-charge.

  • I still don't understand why the Europeans are taking naps in the middle of the day and we're not. C'mon Obama... GIVE me this one. Sleep is good. Raise your hand if you LOVE sleep. SEE? More people raising their hands than not! WE WIN.

I guess I should go do some of this work now. ::Sighs:: I hate being a grown up.

Drink Please

So, I was going to do a Summer-esque (go see her and also... Vote for Summer!) photo shoot for you guys of me in my goofy Cinco de Mayo shirt... but my Camera's battery was too low after one shot! So, here is the lone picture!

It says, "CERVEZA POR FAVOR"

No time for speaking actual words aloud when Margaritas are involved!

Y'all... look how freakishly thin my left wrist looks! Aghhh.. like skeletor or something! Don't worry, it's a shadow on part of it.

I've gotta go, these guys are calling my name...

I'm coming! I'm coming!

Copper Boom!
(If any of you have any clue what Copper Boom is about, I love you. Let's be best friends.)

Happy May 5th, amigas!

I am a wanderer... I have no place or time

I'm about to wander all over this post. Hang tight or you'll get lost!

I'm exhausted. I've been working a lot and we have friends in town... so it's just been non-stop around here. I need to get up off of my rear and sew a bib before I can crash... but instead I'm going to lay here and blog. RESPONSIBLE! ::coughcoughshutupcoughcough::

I'm craving this book & vow to go to Urban Outfitters and buy it soon! It should be full of goodness and inspiration for me!

Speaking of Urban Outfitters...how stinkin' cute is this stuff!? Once again, I cannot wait to have my own home to fill!

Tomorrow I have an appointment at the salon to take care of this mop on my head... yay! & Tomorrow night I'm having a girls night with my very best friends(all from high school) to celebrate two of the girls birthdays. That means today was spent baking cupcakes! Yum! I went retro with them & think they look so cute. After the salon I am heading to the market for ingredients for jello shots and spinach & artichoke dip! It should be an amazingly fun night! Pictures will be taken... of course!

I'm SOOOO tired. If I rolled over right now I would pass out. I hate knowing that once I get up and sew that bib I will be wide awake(but still exhausted). Ergh, oh well. It is what it is, and it aint that bad my friends!(I only use the word "aint" playfully. It bugs me otherwise. Who's with me?)

Goodnight Lovies :) Hope you have a fantastic Friday!

Because everyone loves a RANDOM post

So, I was originally going to announce the winner of my Spring Fling today, but instead I will wait until tomorrow and announce it at the end of blogversations with Summer!
Yesterday, I had a few moments that were pure perfection. They looked like this...

I know. I told you, remember?!
The rest of it was not so grand. I started my day by going to pick up some bibs I had dropped off earlier in the week to a boutique I sell to. It was a special order for 3 bibs, and the woman asked if I could make them 2 INCHES LONGER. 2 INCHES!?! What the heck? Weird request! She didn't even care if the extra two inches were functioning or not... they could be ribbon or ponpom balls for all she cared. WHY, WHY, WHY?! They looked cuter the first time I finished them, that's all I'm saying! ::Sighs:: Alright, I'm done with that.
I also started on a few other projects and orders, which I hate. I like to start and finish things all in one day... I can't stand leaving a project sitting!
My bedroom is a mess and I have to get it straight by tomorrow afternoon, because we have friends coming in town from MN. My parents met them on a trip to Europe & they became fast friends. They have 2 little ones, so I'll have EVER MORE BABIES to play with for the next few days! Which brings me to another topic...
I'm sick of living with my parents. I love them, and I love spending time with them... but I'm ready for my own place again. I miss my apartment.
Did you guys recognize the bucket in the background of the picture above? Remember I showed you my re-do a few months ago(on the old blog)? Here's the replay.
Bought for $3 at Tuesday morning. They reduced the price fro me because it had some scuffs! Don't be afraid to ask the cashier if they can reduce the price if there is a flaw! I used to be so embarrassed when my Mom would do that when I was younger, but I have NO SHAME now!
I grabbed some gorgeous robins egg blue spray paint and prettied her up with it!

She needed some shine, so I added some bling! I felt like it was still lacking something, so I ended up adding the black ribbon. I LOVE it now :) It cost me $10 total! It sits on my nightstand and holds my journal, books, body lotion... you know, all my night time must haves! I know I couldn't have found something I love in any store as much as I love this! And, seriously? You can't beat $10! It just goes to show you what a little paint and jewelry can do!(Oh & those hearts aren't a part of the bucket. They're just radiating off of my cupcake!)

Come back tomorrow for Blogversations! Those of you who have asked me whether I have an accent or not can finally judge for yourselves!

Holy Geez, if you made it through this randomness... CONGRAT
ULATIONS! YOU, my friend, deserve a red velvet cupcake!

***edited to add... once I published this post and re-read it I realized that at some point I accidentally typed FRO instead of FOR, I'm too lazy to go back and find that, but just letting you know I DID in fact see it. It bugged me enough to come back here and tell you, but not enough to find it and fix it.***

The best part of waking up?

I wish I were a morning person. I really do. I just don't have it in me to wake up and do one of those coffee commercial stretches that look so refreshing, smile, hop out of bed, sing in the shower, dance in the car on the way to work... uhm, speak. None of that good stuff. As a baby, my family would just wave to me in the morning because I SO disliked speaking. One of my favorite home movies involves a 3 1/2 year old me(sitting at my new little tykes table)on Christmas morning eating oatmeal. The camera zooms in on my head, full of pink curlers, as I look up at the camera with a spoon full of oatmeal and say "STOP TALKING TO MEEEEEE!", in a ridiculously cute baby voice. It's just so me. I really do want to be at least a little more pleasant in the morning though. As we speak, The Boy is sleeping peacefully next to me. I am so happy to be falling asleep next to him, but come morning... oh no. He may as well be sleeping on the floor. Don't get me wrong! I'm not MEAN... I'm just not nice either. Ughh, and you know what really bugs me? When I wake up with a song in my head. I. CAN'T. STAND. IT. Yesterday, I woke up with that new Kelly Clarkson song in my head. Ergh.

I Love You

I Love You... Wanna Make Out?

Today, I woke up in a great mood! My beloved friend and houseguest headed out today and I'm about to accomplish all kinds of things I've been putting off since he's been here. OH HAPPY DAY! I get to scratch things off of a list! That is one of my favorite things to do :)

I crawled out of bed and slipped into a few of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe. Swiped on my favorite lip balm and placed my computer on my lap to buy myself somethin' purdy. A photo album(you'll see it in a second, hold your horses!) Now I'm off to accomplish some of the things on my list that keeps growing and growing!
Here are a few of the things I've talked about that came together to make my day lovely :)

I decided long ago that I look silly in real lipstick and have searched high and low for a tinted lip balm that would suit me. I'm talking years, people. A few weeks ago I came across this Nivea Passion fruit flavored tinted balm... and I CAN'T GET ENOUGH! I feel the need to go buy 10 of them incase they discontinue them! My favorite beauty products always get discontinued... ERGHH. SO, go buy some so that I can continue to buy it for years to come! Muahaha! No, seriously... you'll love it too :) *I don't get paid to talk about this stuff, y'all! I just want to let you in on the goodness!*

My LBD. I have multiple little black dresses in my closet, but my favorite is one identical to this one. It's a NY&Co. dress, but I got it from Ross for $12 :) Oh, Ross... How I LOVE thee. I wear it with heels, flip flops, boots, thick belts, cardigans, flower pins... so many ways to go with it!

Ahh, black slouchy boots. I heart my black slouchies! I slip these on when i want to look cute without really trying all that hard. I love them with my purple sweater dress and black tights and also with my lbd(above), red belt and silver cardigan.
