Summer Beauty

Summertime in Louisiana is H.O.T. hot!  As much as I love this place I call home, I could do without the humidity that amplifies every temperature in a negative way.  It also amplifies my hair in a negative way, y'all!  In a big, poofy negative way!  After living here my whole life, no- I have not figured out a way to combat the heat... but I have figured out a way to work my beauty regime around it!  95% of my beauty products come from Walgreens!  I live within five minutes of two Walgreens and let me tell you, I don't hate it.  Below are my Summer Beauty Must Haves!

Speaking of my big, poofy hair... I have been using Dream Curls since High School to keep the frizz down and the curls bouncy and I love it!  I have strayed and tried other products, but have never found anything I like quite as much.  It gives me beachy curls without any crunchiness.

SPF!  A must, must, must!  I like Cetaphil because there is no scent and it's not greasy.  Plus it's non-comdogenic(it doesn't block pores)!

BB Cream is my new favorite product!  I love a good tinted moisturizer, but this stuff takes it to the next level with coverage!  It's still very light though, which is a must in the hot Summer months. Some people say it provided a little too much moisture for them, making them look greasy.  I always apply a pressed powder on top and have never had this problem, personally.

Have any of you ever had a case of the melty Summer eye?   You know... when you blink and get those lovely mascara lines either above or below your eyes?  I get it all the time when I forget to apply water proof mascara in the morning.  I like this waterproof option from Neutrogena.  The brush keeps clumps at bay and it makes your lashes extra full.

I just can't tell you how much I love Baby Lips from Maybelline!  It's moisturizing, it's got SPF20 and this bright punchy pink is amazing on every single skin tone!  I have made all of my friends try mine on and they all look amazing in it.  Of course it comes in other colors(peach, red & wine come to mind), but you can't beat this pink for Summer!

Nail art is a big Summer beauty trend this year & with all of the new nail decals out now it's easier than ever.  I love these jeweled ones!  How cute would coral nails be with a single jeweled nail?

I remember the first time I discovered bronzer.  It was like a whole new world opened up for me.  It was a world where I looked less like Wednesday Adams and more like... I don't know, someone who sees the sun?  I like this one from Physicians Formula because I don't like any shimmer in my bronzer.  I like to keep it natural looking!
