I only have time tonight to blog about a few days this week on my journey of awesomeness... Soooo, the weekend it is!
Friday:
Woke up at WG's to a gorgeous day waiting for me outside. I geared up in some cute fall wear
...turquoise tube, gold cardigan, dark wash skinnies & western inspired boots...., kissed my Mister goodbye while he was still all snoozy & headed out the door. I decided to hit up an antique store I saw while driving around last week. I didn't come out with much, but I did score this adorable little glass medicine bottle with a turquoise top. Matches my bed & bath :).
I had no idea what "Emperin" was to be honest, I was hoping it wasn't something gross... & whatdayaknow, it's just a pain reliever. It'll be perfection on my vanity with some Advil stored inside. Annnyway, after that quick trip shopping, I headed back home where I had a hot date with a super cute guy.
Sometimes my date doesn't like to sit still. When such is the case while picture taking... embrace it and go for the kisses.
It'll turn out lovelier than you had originally planned :)
Our date consisted of a picnik in the park(kids meals, but of course) & some quality playground time. I like to play on all of the stuff as much as he does, but today... my super lengthy 5'2" self miscalculated my height and conked my head in a wooden tunnel of sorts. What a dork.
So we came home & I promptly helped myself to an Advil from my sweet new medicine bottle.
Sometimes things just fall into place like that, haha.
Later that evening I spent some time with the fam. before THIS
(I could have re-typed all of that, but really.. what's the point when you can just click and read?)
Friday was a lovely day full of awesome for me :)
Saturday:
I finished a big order & got the Benjamins for it* Played with my niece and nephew * Did a little bit of nothing at all * Went to WG's - the night included: fire pitting it with some friends, Entourage, and some seriously sweet snugs. (snuggles-duh.)
Sunday:
Woke up and went to the grocery to get some lunch fixins. I went in with no ideas, but knew I wanted to get something that was quick to make since WG was already hungry. Ended up leaving with the ingredients for club(ish) sandwiches & Mexican veggie soup. The soup is super easy(as most soup is) to make. Here's the "recipe" if you can even call it that! It's the soup version of Dump Cake!
2 lg cans petite diced tomatoes
1 can Mexican style corn
1 can pinto beans
1 can chicken or vegetable broth
1 package taco seasoning
1 package ranch dressing/dip mix
You can add chicken or ground beef to this if you like... which then turns it into a Taco Soup of sorts. You can also garnish it with tortilla strips, cheese, sour cream or my personal favorite, avacado. After eating and watching some TV with his roommates, I hit the road & ended up stopping to visit with these good looking kids for a bit...
Chit chatted for a while and passed along an apron that Lauren will be giving away on her blog (along with some other fabulous goodies) very soon! Yep yep, you could win an apron made by yours truly, ya lucky duck! I will point you in that direction when she posts it!

When I got home, I did a little work on WG's birthday gift. Yes, I'm making him something. VERY Brady Bunch of me, right? haha. I've actually done a little painting for him before, so the pressure is kind of off on me creating things for him. Anyway, it's something I've never done before, but got the idea(jacked the idea... it's okay! i'm not selling it!) from a really cute shop on my very fav. website(youknowwhati'mtalkin'bout) and thought he would appreciate it. Maybe? I hope so... haha! I can't tell you guys what it is yet, clearly... but you'll see it soon enough. WG's b-day is Nov. 2nd! Creepin' up on me!
& noooowww I'm goin' night night, y'all! Hope you have sweet dreams.
