By "it's", I mean "she".
And by "she", I mean "me".
I have been so ridiculously MIA.
I'm sorry... really, I am.
The thing is, I have had serious bloggers block.
BIG TIME.
Between work and wedding planning, this last month has been a little nuts. By the time I finish what needs to be accomplished in a day, the only thing I have time to think about is sleep.(I think about it a lot, by the way!) Blogging just had to take a back seat for a bit, but hopefully with this post I will get on some sort of a roll and show my face around here on the regular.
Yesterday, my Mom, Sister, Step Sister, Grandma and I went wedding dress shopping. We walked in at 5:30 and by 7:30 I was walking out of the door with my dress in hand! It was the first dress I put on and though I kept trying on dresses(maybe 5 or 6 more?), nothing seemed to live up to that first dress. I actually did like just about all of them, but none were "just right" like the first dress. By the end of the appointment I found myself standing in front of the mirror back in that first dress with a veil atop my head and sparkly earrings dangling in my ears. That was it... I was DONE gown shopping! And IT. FELT. GOOD. Now on to Bridesmaid dress shopping, which will likely be more difficult than my dress shopping experience. I am only having 2 Bridesmaids- My sister and BFF, (Yes, you can totally use the term "BFF" as an adult if you have actually been best friends FOR. EV. ER.) and MR is having his best friend from childhood and best friend from college.(No Maid of Honor or Best Man- we figured it didn't REALLY make a difference with only having 2.) As for the "flower children"? Well, with a plethora of nieces and nephews to choose from, we decided not to choose and just have all 8 of them parade down the aisle before me! The more, the merrier, I say!
Here are a few of the cute pictures we received of the gifts we sent or dropped off to some of the bridal party!
I sent my sister and bff a framed photo of the two of us, a necklace with their initial and a card. My best friend sent me this lively response via text! |
My niece Baby E received a diamond ring rattle that I found at Walmart! How perfect!
One thing is for sure... I will have one CUTE wedding party!
SO CUTE!
ReplyDeleteI love how they all sent you responses. PRECIOUS.
Scrapbook worthy for sure.
And that little juicy niece of yours? PRECIOUS!

ReplyDeleteI love a small wedding party, we only had one on each side and it was SO much easier that way!
So excited for you and all your wedding things!
Your wedding is going to be adorable, just like you!
ReplyDeleteI love how you asked everyone to be in your wedding and their cute responses! This must be such an exciting time for you, and I can only imagine how busy it must be! Enjoy every moment! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is to be the BEST Blog Post I have seen in a while. Because I am just SO excited and SO in love with LOVE and Weddings.
ReplyDeleteAlso, A lot of my personal friends and Blog Friends are planning weddings and since I am not, I am living Vicariously through their excitment and plans. hehe.
Sounds like you'll have a great wedding party..And Easy. The Good thing for Me, is both my Boyfriend and I don't have any neices or nephews (yet)..so depending on when we tie the not..We won't have to pick. But our RingBears (2) spots already goes to his God Son and his Cousins Son. As for Flowergirls...I'm at a loss, there are no little or young girls on either sides of our family...Except for my cousins 2yr old who is a crazy one! haha
Have Fun! Enjoy! :)
I am SO excited for you guys!! And I cant' wait to see the wedding gown!
