Let'd do it!

I mention a lot of "Best Friends"... if I had to choose one who would it be?
This is an awful question & of course it was asked by a man! haha! I am a very lucky girl and have many best friends. I have a group of about 7 girls I went to High School with and have stayed extremely close with since then that are absolutely BEST FRIENDS. Calling them, "good friends" or "close friends" is doing them a serious injustice! Then I have Mrs. Paul Reiser(of The Daily Dose) who is my numero uno, never let her go, soul mate of a best friend. We've been best friends since the day we met 21 year ago. Don't make me pick one out of that group of 7. I REFUSE!

How tall am I?

I'm 5'2 1/2"! I like to just round on up to 5'3"! I'm the runt of the family! When I was in 6th grade, I was taller than all of my friends(guys and girls)... everyone thought I was going to be SOOO tall. Well, you see... what had happened was... I stopped growing in 6th grade. Booo! Haha. I'm actually glad I'm not tall, but I would take an extra 3" just to stretch myself out so I could eat more potato chips :)

Does The WG know about my blog?

He indeed does. He's been here & seen it & seen all of your comments about him! Lucky they were all good! Haha :) He told me he felt like a creeper reading it after the first time he did, so he SAID he wasn't going to anymore. I have no clue if he stops in from time to time or not... and that's okay with me! I've got nothing to hide here.

I'm very close with my family... have they met WG yet?

I am freakishly close with my family, yes... and NO they haven't met him yet! He lives an hour and a half away, so it's not like he comes to pick me up to go out. It will be a big deal, "meet the parents" kind of thing for that reason. We've talked about it & we'll figure it out when the time is right :)

Family dinner for my birthday! My Mom and I have taken a picture like this every year since I was about 7! :) We hold up however many fingers I am. When I hit 21, we had to call in back-ups(hence, my sister's hand)!

Friday night my girls and I met in New Orleans to see our friend M in a hillarious play called Flaming Guns of The Purple Sage. She did an amazing job & we were so proud!(She's the one with the pink hair!)

Once our girl was changed, we headed out for some drinks!(& there she is on the right without the amazing pink hair!)

Doll Face turned 1 on Saturday! I can't believe it! She's getting SO big and SO smart! Love her to pieces! How funny is this picture? haha! After her birthday party, I hopped in the car and headed to WG's for the night :)

Sunday morning we woke up and headed to the river with a bunch of friends to go tubing as a little post-bday celebration! (You park your car at one end and they bus you up the river to a drop off point where you grab a tube and hop in. You float your happy self down the river with friends and drink! Amazingness.) We decided to make it a trashy hat party... hence my lovely hat :) (If you know the rest of the phrase on my hat, uhm, please excuse me! It was just a joke!)

This one little butterfly was freakishly attracted to WG.(I think he named it Bill?) He would fly away and then come right back to him! I know how you feel, Bill... I know how you feel. :)

Thoughts at 25

I am: feeling weird about being 25. It's that age you throw all your goals on. I'm trying not to do that! Can you say quarter life crisis?

I think: way too much.
I know: that I'm blessed.
I have: amazing family and friends!
I wish: that I was with my friends or the WG right now. I will be with my women tonight! WOO HOO!
I hate: the word hate.
I miss: being a teenager sometimes.
I fear: losing a loved one.
I wonder: A LOT. I think it sort of goes hand in hand with the thinking!
I regret: very little.
I love: even more than I think. :)
I am not: easily shaken.
I believe: in true love. Even though I've seen the ugly side of relationships(& I'm not sayin' I was the one being ugly! You guys read the blog, you know I'm a very capable girlfriend!)... I believe that goodness exists.
I dance: when I try on clothes. I don't know why, people... it's just something I've always done!
I sing: in the car and in the shower!
I cry: when I feel any emotion really strongly.
I fight: horribly! I'm not one of those people who enjoys a good fight.
I always: laugh at my own jokes.
I listen: to my ipod when I'm cleaning house.
I am happy about: my life lately!

If these walls could talk...

They would tell you that I painted over their cheery blue color with a shade of grey. They would say it hasn't always been easy. They'd tell you I've spent a lot of nights alone and a lot of days daydreaming. They would whisper about the time I spent a week in bed with no expression on my face and questions in my heart. These walls would sell me out, for sure.

These walls of mine aren't all bad, you see... because they would probably tell you that they prefer that soft shade of grey. They feel a little more badass that way. They would tell you about the sweet baby girls who come crawling through the doorway looking for me with big smiles on their faces & the little boy who knocks and screams," Lay Lay? It's ******! I come in?" These walls would tell you all of my creative secrets and that my brain works best late at night. They would tell you how i dance around in my underwear and heels when I'm getting ready to head out. And lately... they'd probably tell you that they don't see me nearly as often as they once did, but when I do enter my room... I'm always smiling. They'd probably tell you that I've been cheating on them with someone elses walls. They would be right.

My walls are such gossips.

Life at 24

...Today is my last day being 24...

My 24th year has been the hardest and greatest yet. I wouldn't trade it! I made some moves that people may have questioned... hell, I questioned them. But I knew that to be able to get to where I finally am, I had to do that. No regrets. I made some new friends, learned to be honest with myself, was blessed with two gorgeous nieces, met a great guy who makes me smile, found new sources for creative inspiration, learned to forgive even in the most difficult situations, became a better cook, found a seat closer to God, saw my friends more often and above all else... I LOVED.

The Good, The "Interesting" & The Lovely

With Boy on my 24th Birthday. I remember feeling like he didn't want to be there. I always felt like I was working with him. Lessons learned, my friends.

My life would have been a lonely one without you. You've shaped me and helped to make me who I am today. I like to think you didn't do such a bad job! I love you so, so much. The Telephone Game

Let me tell you something I've probably never told you before...

I am not a phone person.

I don't know why? I just feel like my personality doesn't exactly dazzle on the phone. I guess I just feel like usually what's gone on in my day isn't worthy of picking up the phone to gab about. I used to enjoy it when I was younger... but who didn't? Junior High and High School? Oh, I could talk it up with the best of them.

I lost the gossip bug my 1st year of college, so there goes that phone convo opportunity!

Don't get me wrong, there are certain times when I could talk for an hour... but day to day? Nuh Ugh. So, whatever. Don't talk on the phone unless I have something to talk about, right?

Well, alright!

But what about with WG? We just started dating, but we've covered alot of bases as far as, "getting to know you", goes. Speaking of: Your questions for me to ask him... I already know the answers! He likes Sopranos, Entourage, golf, hunting, Milk Duds, LOVES his Mom and is not at all a slob. Bing, bang, boom! So what do we talk about ? He usually calls a few times a day to touch base and say hello and I feel like I never have anything to say! Nothing that's super interesting anyway! I don't want him to think I'm losing interest in him or something because I never talk on the phone... that would suck. I do talk when I'm actually with him, which is like 3 times a week usually. Well, okay...except this past Saturday I had a wine hangover and was kind of lathargic! Haha, it happens! But really... the phone thing bugs me. Like when we got off of the phone before he went to sleep: Me: "Are you going to sleep soon?" Him: "Yeahhh." Me: "Alright, well I guess I'll let you go so you can get to sleep." Him: "Well, okay...?" Me=Awkward!

Ehh, I am what I am! haha ;)

I felt like June Cleaver, all ready to bake some cookies and serve 'em up, y'all. I'm pretty sure I squealed when I saw what the savings were! You will too... for sure.(HUMOR ME, People!)

Nowwww... you know WG and I are in the fun "Getting to know you" stage. I ask him things about himsef as they come to me... but sometimes I'll just say, "Tell me something!", and he'll either say, "I like you" or, "Ask me something!" Sooo, what should I be asking him, ladies and gentlemen?(Yes, I have a few gents who stop in!) Give me the goods! What should I want to know? What do YOU want to know?

Someone Like You (Musical Monday)

Good Monday, People! Did you have a good weekend? I hope so!

I did :)! I arrived at WG's house to find him slaving away in the kitchen. He made parmesean encrusted pork chops, homemade red sauce, rigatone, garlic bread, salad and wine. Yes... yes, I did ask myself: "Who am I and how did I get here?" We ate, cuddled and watched The Breakfast Club, played some Mario and Donkey Kong(b/c that's hot, right?) and layed around a while more before heading off to bed. I told him how awful the day before had been for me feeling like I was jeopardizing things. I told him I LIKE HIM A LOT. A LOT-A LOT. It was a night of perfection... as most are with him. :) Today was a little piece of perfection as well... I hated to leave!

I'm finally remembering to post a Musical Monday with Jori & Diane! I post about music pretty often, and it just never occurs to me to link up.

I love Kings of Leon. I'm sure I've told you that before, right? When I first heard of them, I was turned off by the name of the band. Kings of LEON? Really... Leon? Not sexy.(Sorry, Leon!) I popped in the cd and scrolled through. I. WAS. HOOKED... wonkey name and all! I love rock music & Kings of Leon is definitely pulling rock back into mainstream. God bless em.
